Arabic green beans with beef or green beans stew recipes are quite popular in the Middle Eastern nations. The Turkish work “Yakhneh” which means meat and vegetables cooked in red sauce, comes very close to this recipe. There are several similar dishes all over Arab, just using different vegetables instead of green beans there are cauliflower, potatoes, peas and so on.
In this piece, we are going to discuss the easiest way to make the green beans with beef in Arabic style. The recipe is quite nutritious as it has one hundred and fifty-eight calories, three hundred and fifty-six-gram sodium, only 8.1g fat, 31.8 mg cholesterol, 10.8g and 11.8 g in protein and carbohydrates respectively. Here, you will find all of that in just one recipe.
Gather The Ingredients
In order to prepare the meal, we have to, first of all, collect the ingredients which are:
One pound of cubed beef round roast
One can or sixteen ounces of chopped canned tomato
Two roughly diced onions
One can or fifteen ounces of Tomato Sauce
Two pounds of trimmed and cut in half fresh green beans
Two tablespoons of Vegetable oil
One and a half teaspoon of Allspice
Half teaspoon salt
One teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
One cup of water
These are the ten most basic ingredients to prepare a succulent and flavorsome dish in Arabic style. Though it wouldn’t be an authentic Arabic recipe, you can always use different meat such as lamb, boneless chicken, and mutton, etc.
Saute the Beef
Firstly, heat two tablespoons of oil on a skillet and keep it on medium heat. You can check the heat by throwing a piece of onion and if it sizzles then you will know that the oil is ready.
Now place the cubed beef on the pan and saute it for ten minutes. Watch it to get brown but not burned, so keep watch on it and constantly stir it so that it does not stick to the bottom.
Now, add the onion and stir it for a couple of minutes. Then, add a half cup of water and put the lid on. You need to decrease the heat to low and simmer it for another ten minutes. But, do stir it from time to time.
Here Come the Beans
Now add the green beans along with the allspice. Stir it thoroughly and add salt and pepper as per your taste or as the recipe mentioned above. Cover the mixture and let it simmer for another fifteen minutes.
After stirring occasionally, add the tomato sauce and tomatoes and stir it gently. Now add the remaining half cup of water and cover the lid. Now let it simmer for forty-five minutes.
Serve hot with steamed rice or nun. Enjoy!
The delicious green beans with beef in Arabic style have the most delectable taste. As it does not have a jumble of ingredients, you can savor each ingredient singly and together as well.
