The Chinese New Year is the biggest celebration of the year, a time when all old traditions are replaced by a new one. The most important Chinese New Year food celebration is the Chinese New Year Festival. Which is held every year in March or April in some areas of China.
Everything About The Chinese New Year Food
What is the Chinese New Year food? This depends on the country that you’re living in, but many of the dishes are quite similar.
In China, red rice wine is served with hot soup, normally beef, and this soup is eaten together with a sweet salad. The person who does the serving (it is sometimes called the “bowl”tea-disguise”) can be as elegant as the wife of the person who owns the restaurant, or as plain as an “ordinary” employee.
However, I know of one person who actually makes his own red rice wine at home. He takes sugar cane, cuts it into small pieces, steams it until it turns into a jelly-like substance. Then processes it by fermenting it. A process like this is called “silk distillation.”
When he has filtered the sugar cane and separated it. He then puts the cane into a pot filled with tap water that is two inches deep and then lets it soak overnight and into the morning. After that, he steams it again and then finally distills it to create the best Chinese New Year food he can make.
To drink the red rice wine, just add a spoonful of it to each glass of boiling water. It will evaporate in a few seconds.
Other Chinese New Year foods are chicken soups. Which is served in a basket along with vegetables and other items like scallions, garlic, bamboo shoots, and radishes. These soups are often served with rice and fried in a wok with the noodles.
Spring vegetables are also popular in Chinese food. Green onions, bok choy, and broccoli all go well with the meat.
Fish soup is very popular in China, especially if it contains vinegar, and is used as an accompaniment for noodles or beef. The soup is generally very thick and it can be preserved using an occasional dip into a saucepan of vinegar.
Chinese food also has plenty of vegetarian and seafood options. Thus, there are always vegetables and fruit available to accompany these dishes. Make sure to keep in mind that the cost of these is usually quite a bit more than what you would get at a normal restaurant.
