You should try to maintain a clean cutting board to keep it from getting stained or greasy. This will be important for a number of reasons. A dirty cutting board can be hard to clean because the grease or food that has been on it for a while can’t be removed. However, by taking some simple steps, you can keep your board as clean as possible.

Things To Make Sure Your Board Stay Clean

There are a number of things that you can do to make sure your board stays clean and bacteria-free. First, you should get into the habit of cleaning your cutting board with hot soapy water, with a cotton swab. When you start using a cotton swab, it is a good idea to add some elbow grease to the mix, in order to make sure that the swab isn’t too hard and removes all of the greases from the board.

After you have applied the soap and swab to the board, place the swab in the sink and pour hot water over it, for a few minutes. This will remove all of the excess oil and dirt from the board.

Then, take a piece of paper towel and wipe down the board with the paper towel, starting at the bottom of the board. Use the paper towel to dry off the wood, and avoid wiping too hard or too long, because this can leave streaks and scratches on the surface of the board.

After you have finished drying the board, use a wood cleaner to polish it up to help remove any dirt or grime that has been left behind by cutting on the wooden cutting board. Make sure that you use a dry product and not something that has oil or something else on it.

Once you have finished doing that, you can go ahead and put the board back in the kitchen and start using it. When you have finished using it, you should wipe the cleaner off and then apply a new one. Keep doing this until you get it totally clean.

Things To Keep Your Clean

If you really want to keep your board clean, you can follow a couple of other things. The first thing that you should do is to prevent cross-contamination by sticking to a separate kitchen area that you are not using.

Another thing that you can do is to put the wooden cutting board somewhere out of the way and only use it for cutting and preparing food on. This is especially important if you have children or are cooking for a large group of people.

Even if you have a wood cutting board, which is supposed to have a layer of grime, it can still pick up dust and dirt particles when you are cutting on it. Instead of letting it stay where it is, you should use an ultra-violet (UV) lamp to get rid of the dust and dirt, so that it doesn’t get all over the board.

Important Things To Do For A Wooden Cutting Board

One of the most important things that you can do for a wooden cutting board is to get it wet. It can be a challenge to get the moisture out of the board, but if you are persistent, it can be done.

Use a damp piece of dry paper towel, and set it up using water from the tap. Try to roll the paper towel up, as much as you can, and lay it out on the surface of the board.

Keep trying, and as soon as you see some water or moisture start to appear on the board, roll the paper towel up further. This will help you to get it all off the board.
