How do you know when you to stop cook? We all have our own personal favorites for a good meal. You may prefer the traditional homemade meal or you might just like the ideas in one of the cooking programs on TV or in your local supermarket.
There is no doubt that the use of cans of preserved food will give you more than enough time for a meal, but can you actually turn that time into more time for cooking? And can you make it all the way through without overeating, and without starting a raging weight problem?

Whilst a cookie and a cooked meal can be excellent, there is an optimum time for everything – unless it’s an advert! I’m not talking about turning off the TV and putting it on mute. I’m talking about cooking an early evening snack and saving cooking a meal as a “main course” altogether. This means we are prepared to eat more to complete the meal, so we burn a little fewer calories.
However, you don’t have to do it this way; it is possible to eat a healthy meal, a snack, and keep eating the snacks throughout the day. As the saying goes, a fat man is a man who takes a walk every day. Most of us do not take the amount of time it would take to have an early evening snack for every meal.

But this time can be put to better use when you are able to cook a light meal, rather than devour a heavy and high-calorie meal before bedtime. When it comes to eating after dinner, most of us do not eat during the night or in the early hours of the morning.
Some of us will eat snacks that help us keep going until we get up to eat again. That is fine, but if we eat a light meal then we will burn more calories, but at the same time, we will be keeping our hunger cravings at bay. Some people think that it is far more sensible to just start the next meal of the day, whilst still hungry, and cook that.
A lot of us are not good at this type of cooking and simply forget to add the baking soda to the soups and stews, or even the old fashioned custard recipe. Well, there is a lot of debate over whether we should actually eat right before dinner, or whether we should cook and eat something more such as a light and healthy breakfast.
I certainly do not think it is wise to cook for two or three hours in order to get all the protein and calcium we need at this time of day. We don’t have time for that, so it’s always best to combine the cooking and eating into one.
The answer to the question of how much time is available for cooking comes down to a question of time and ability to prepare. For some people, it is not the case that we have to wait until we have finished with our meals before eating again.
